Exploring Firearms
You will be able to learn about shotguns from your smart device or computer all at your convenience and comfort. You will learn shotgun safety, operation, and basic shotgun shooting methods. This course will give you 20 days to complete all the lessons at your own pace. Upon completion of the online phase, you will have a 50-question course test with a minimum score to pass of 80 to recap what you learned. Afterwards, you will be responsible for contacting a GTAS staff member at GunnsTrainingAcademy@gmail.com to arrange your shotgun qualifications at a local firearm range, which includes applying what you learned from this online course. Upon completion of the online GTAS Basic Shotgun Shooting Course test (Step 1), you will receive a certificate via email for step 1 of this course. Step 2 will involve contacting a GTAS instructor at GunnsTrainingAcademy@gmail.com or at (832) 827-3509 to schedule a shotgun qualification test. NOTE: *Be sure to read and digest all information and videos in this course due to the course test being based on this information.* If you choose to to obtain your step 2 certificate, which is the range qualification, you will need a pump action or a semi-auto shotgun. If you do not have a shotgun, GTAS will provide a shotgun free of charge for qualification. You will purchase your range fee at the range.
